Professor Tsapatsis's research group is housed in the department of Chemical Engineering & Materials Science at the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities. The focus of our work is in demonstrating innovative processing strategies for engineering functional devices and microstructures. Our recent publications focus on molecular sieve synthesis, crystal structure elucidation, pattern formation, morphology control, and incorporation in engineering devices. Our work is strengthened by substantial industrial interactions.

April 2018 | Congratulations to Nitish Mittal and Mansi Shah for successfully defending their PhD theses. Nitish was co-advised by Prof. Daoutidis and is joining ExxonMobile. Mansi was co-adised by Prof. Siepmann is joining Bristol-Myers Squibb.
September 2017 | Professor Michael Tsapatsis has been awarded one of the highest honors for faculty at the University of Minnesota, the McKnight Presidential Endowed Chair. Related link: CEMS News.
